About Summer

 

I have been working in parks and recreation for over 20 years. For over 14 years, I worked with people with special needs in various aspects from day camp, overnight trips, day events, weekly programs, and sports. I left special recreation to pursue a career in facility management with park districts. Recently, I returned to school to learn more about facility management. During these classes, I fell in love with Event Planning and Management. This certificate has increased my knowledge in risk management, problem-solving, and collaborating with various stakeholders.
